Mateo’s comic was born during the lockdown we all lived in Spain at the beginning of 2020 becasue of Covid, I made it just for fun, trying to entertain my friends and myself and publishing it in Instagram and Twitter. It was such a nice surprise to see how people loved the character.
After a while, I decided to redraw some panels and add an extra chapter in which Mateo finally could go out and see her grandma again, and I self-published it. You can still find it in some bookstores in Madrid and Toledo.
By doing this I learnt a lot about the Publishing world because I had to be not just the author, but the editor, distributor and the seller.
